Hello and welcome to our brand-new blog. We are a young family of three (though soon to be four) – Jordan, Atlanta, and Marian. Here we plan to chronicle our day to day projects and interests as we seek to build a productive, healthy, Christ-centered home for our new little family, and learn about applying The Gospel in our everyday life.
Jordan’s interests and pursuits include early Americana, good stewardship in agriculture, antique and reproduction firearms, history, backroading, and traditional/historical hand-crafts such as carpentry, blacksmithing, stone masonry, and more.
You may know Atlanta from her previous blog, Story of a Seamstress. If you’ve ever visited her there, you know she likes to write about her sewing projects, historical fashion, cooking, books, homemaking, and country life. Her new and somewhat all-consuming responsibilities of being a wife and mother will certainly also find space here as she learns about home management, healthy pregnancy, childbirth, and the many daily adventures keeping little Marian out of trouble!
We live in a log house on the beginnings of our homestead that we call ‘Winshaw’. We have lots of plans for this spring, and are excited as each new piece and project comes together.
Come back and visit again soon!
